During the COVID-19 pandemic, Coregas supplied critical lung function testing mixtures to hospitals.
2021
In response to the crisis, Coregas swiftly mobilised medical oxygen ISO containers supporting Tata Steel and the Indian Government's relief efforts.
Coregas did what we do best and immediately mobilised our people in Perth and managed to secure, prepare, and deliver four ISO containers to Perth International Airport in time to load the aircraft. The operation was a great success.
When placed into medical oxygen service, the four ISOs that Coregas helped deliver to India were able to carry 80 tonnes of liquid medical oxygen. That is enough medical oxygen to support 100 patients for a month each time these ISOs are filled.
2022
After the pandemic, we successfully launched the world's first liquid hydrogen ship, Suiso Frontier, from Australia to Japan.
Coregas was contracted in this $500 million project, which was backed by the Japanese and Australian governments, for providing engineering consultancy, onsite support, and equipment for the gasification plant at Loy Yang in the LaTrobe Valley and the state-of-the-art liquefaction and loading facility at nearby Port of Hastings.
2023
Coregas launched the Coregas H2Station, Australia’s first hydrogen refuelling station for heavy vehicles. The H2Station is leading the clean mobility revolution and will stimulate Australia’s emerging hydrogen sector.
Construction of the $2 million H2Station has been assisted by a $500,000 NSW Government grant. The H2Station will facilitate the introduction of zero emissions hydrogen fuel cell trucks to the Illawarra-Shoalhaven region and local heavy vehicles will be encouraged to access the H2Station, which can rapidly refuel up to 10 vehicles daily. The H2Station is a low-cost commercial solution capitalising on existing infrastructure aimed to seed a future network of hydrogen fuelled transport.
