Shieldpurge 95/05 is a premium gas mixture used mainly in plasma welding, cutting stainless steel copper and nickel alloys. It is also used as a leak testing gas to test various systems and equipment for leaks.

Shieldpurge mixtures have the addition of predominantly helium, hydrogen or nitrogen, which give the gas the ability to achieve higher performance in areas of welding speed, penetration, profile, surface appearance, metallurgical benefits etc. This improves both the major areas of concern in a welding process - quality and economics.
