Pure gases, mixtures and specialty gases: new names and labels

The gas in the cylinder is not changing. One name. One label. One specification whichever of our businesses supplies your gas.

Changeover: 16 December 2026

From 16 December 2026, the pure gases, gas mixtures, specialty gases and welding gases you buy from Coregas will carry Nippon Sanso product names and cylinder labels. Coregas and Supagas are part of the Nippon Sanso Holdings Group, and both businesses are moving to one Nippon Sanso product range, one product group at a time. Our Food & Hospitality range moved on 5 October 2026.

Before 16 December you’ll receive the new product names, product data sheets, Certificates of Conformance and safety data sheets, so you can update your records such as purchase orders, stock lists and safety data sheet registers. You don’t need to change how you order. If you’d like price lists or other information to help update your systems, your account manager can provide them ahead of the changeover.

What this means for you

Changing

  • Product labels move from the Coregas logo to the Nippon Sanso logo
  • Names on some of our gases, e.g. welding and laser mixtures
  • Some products are consolidated into one Nippon Sanso product

Not changing

  • The gas inside, the same trusted quality you receive today
  • Quality standards: the same or better specification
  • Your cylinder sizes
  • How you order
  • Your deliveries
  • Your commercial terms

Find your new product name

Search the name you use today to see its Nippon Sanso name. Most pure gas names stay the same, as they already use gas purity naming. Names are shown once for all cylinder sizes.

Carbon Dioxide Food Grade moved to Carbon Dioxide 3.0 on 5 October 2026 with our Food & Hospitality products; the other carbon dioxide grades change on 16 December. Where two of our products become one, the table shows the Nippon Sanso product you will receive, at the same or better specification.

* SanPurge H5 (formerly ShieldPurge 95/5) will come with a Type 50 cylinder valve outlet. Please check your regulators and fittings, or ask your account manager.

What the new label looks like

New Nippon Sanso cylinder label for Carbon Dioxide 3.0, size D, item code NS 376110, SG 10081, UN1013, non-flammable non-toxic gas class 2.
Example shown: Carbon Dioxide 3.0. Your new labels carry the Nippon Sanso logo in place of the Coregas logo, and the QR code links to the safety data sheet.

The shape of the label may vary based on cylinder origin, and for a while you may receive cylinders with either label.
