Managing installation

Every year we manage many safe and interruption-free major cylinder transitions and installation of bulk vessels across all industries.

Cylinder supply transition process

Our four-step cylinder transition process will identify current cylinder stock levels at each of your sites, evaluate cylinder turnover based on three months’ consumption data and have you fully transitioned with 72 hours.

1. Preliminary data

Your local account manager evaluates your stock turnover and order history so we can plan for your requirements and set a transition date.

2. Rollout audit

A site audit details the gas types, cylinder sizes and quantities (holdings) for each site, even down to ward or department level for hospitals. The site auditor notes any specific delivery requirements and addresses any site-specific or safety concerns.

3. Cylinder rollout

To set up stock in stores, Coregas can assist you in generating the first order, attend site to facilitate the first few deliveries and assist in either removing and preparing incumbent cylinders for collection or reallocating them to other wards, departments or sites as required.

4. Training

Delivered face-to-face and/or online, product and safety training happens during the cylinder rollout or just prior, if you prefer. Online training modules mean refresher training is available when you require. Training in safe handling of gases meets Australian standards.

Vessel installation process

With over 40 years of experience and a tried and tested seven-step process, your gas can be transitioned in 24 hours and you won’t skip a beat.

1. Proposal

To understand your requirements, we first identify demand and technical specifications, gather site details and design the installation before submitting a quotation.

2. Contract

Negotiation of specifics and going through the approvals process leads to a contract.

3. Detailed planning

During this phase we finalise designs, assemble materials, complete risk assessments and method work statements. We will also complete planning and coordination with facility services and engage with the existing supplier.

4. Installation

On-site construction and vessel installation is followed by inducting site staff, plus installation of any backup or interim supplies as required.

5. Commissioning

Site or hospital staff receive safety and operation training, and attend the first fill of the new vessel with Coregas technicians before the product is tested and analysed to achieve your sign-off.

6. Manage deliveries

Site or hospital staff define the ordering process, including telemetry monitoring if required.

7. Technical service

A scheduled servicing requirement plan is completed to establish cyclic maintenance and statutory inspections.
